Zimbabwe vs India Match Preview, 3rd T20I

On Wednesday, July 10, the Harare Sports Club will host the third Twenty20 International between Zimbabwe and India in the five-match series. At one game apiece, the series is intriguingly poised, and both clubs would want to advance by winning on Wednesday.

Zimbabwe shocked everyone by dismissing India for 102 runs in the first innings despite having set a goal of 116. Despite being flawless as a captain, Sikandar Raza broke during the second innings. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s brilliant half-century and Abhishek Sharma’s first-ever international century helped the Men in Blue rally, though, as they amassed a total of 234/2 in the second Twenty20 International. With an unbeaten 48 off of 22 balls, Rinku Singh again displayed excellent performance. In response, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar both scored three-fors as Zimbabwe was bowled out for 134.

In Twenty20 Internationals, India’s skipper Shubman Gill’s performance has been a major worry. He would be eager to do well on Wednesday after recording scores of 2 and 31 in the first two games. Mukesh has bowled well and provided the visitors with early wickets. Ravi Bishnoi is a leg-spinner who has taken six wickets in eight overs while conceding just 24 runs in two games against Zimbabwe’s hitters who are finding it difficult to get on base.

Wesley Madhevere intends to take on an anchoring role for Zimbabwe. In the meantime, Brian Bennett has played a few knocks and looks in excellent form. After failing in the first two games against the willow, Sikandar Raza will be looking to return to the running on Wednesday. Blessing Muzarabani has been the hosts’ finest bowler in the first two games and will look to continue to cause the Indian hitters difficulties in the next game.

Zimbabwe:

Chaste In the first two games, Kaia has lost a couple of them, and Mukesh has castled her both times. Allowing Tadiwanashe Marumani, who is left-handed, to pass. It could stay that way for the remainder of the side.

Predicted XI

Wessly Madhevere, Innocent Kaia, Brian Bennett, Sikandar Raza (c), Dion Myers, Jonathan Campbell, Clive Madande (wk), Luke Jongwe, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Tendai Chatara

India:

The team now includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube—the trio that won the T20 World Cup. For temporary head coach VVS Laxman, this will be a selection headache. In place of Sai Sudharsan or Riyan Parag, Yashasvi might join the team, and Dhruv Jurel could be replaced by the seasoned Sanju. Shivam Dube, meanwhile, may have to wait for his opportunity after making only a significant cameo in the final of the T20 World Cup and failing to make an impression.

Predicted XI

Shubman Gill (c), Abhishek Sharma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Riyan Parag, Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar, Ravi Bishnoi
