During a news conference, the LSG mentor was questioned if the pattern of visiting teams, especially the Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, garnering a lot of support at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium would alter in the 2025 Indian Premier League. Zaheer said that because of MS Dhoni’s great popularity, he won’t be shocked to see yellow shirts controlling the crowd when Lucknow hosts CSK on April 14.
“Yellow will rule every stadium as long as MS Dhoni is present. That’s how it ought to be. Everyone loves him. That’s how it will be as long as he’s playing,” Zaheer Khan stated.
Despite rumors that he is retiring, Dhoni is expected to play again in the 2025 Indian Premier League. On Sunday, March 23, the Men in Yellow kick off their campaign in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium against their bitter rivals, the Mumbai Indians.

Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, and Avesh Khan are expected to miss the Super Giants’ opening IPL 2025 games due to injuries. Shivam Mavi and Shardul Thakur, on the other hand, are allegedly training with the team and are available as substitutes if necessary.
Zaheer Khan stated that the team’s hopes for a successful season under a new captain will not be dampened by the injury setbacks.
“You are aware that questions like these can come up when discussing the IPL. We have plans for the season and the pacers are working with LSG’s support personnel appropriately. With 24 individuals in the roster, we are capable of winning games,” Zaheer Khan remarked.
