On September 19, 2007, legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh hit Stuart Broad for six sixes during the high-voltage clash between India and England in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in South Africa. This encounter was played at Kingsmead, Durban in front of a raucous crowd.
After the incredible start made by Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir for the Men in Blue, England attempted to contain the damage towards the end of the first innings. India needed a solid finish, but in the 15th, 16th, and 17th overs, respectively, Sehwag, Gambhir, and Robin Uthappa fell out. Yuvraj delivered it in the form of a furious knock.
In his first six balls, the Southpaw struck three boundaries and raced to fourteen. This was prior to him and Andrew Flintoff getting into a fight. Following the intense conversation, Yuvraj threw his anger upon England, with Broad taking the brunt of his wrath.
The seamer from England, who was only twenty-one years old at the time, came up to bowl the innings’ penultimate over. In addition to hitting sixes over long-off and deep points to thwart England skipper Paul Collingwood’s plans, Yuvraj did more than just target the on-side during the attack. Although Broad attempted to alter his bowling angles and pace his deliveries, Yuvraj, who was at the height of his abilities, had little trouble making the boundaries appear ordinary.

Yuvraj registers then-fastest T20I half-century
Yuvraj reached his half-century off just 12 balls as he struck the final delivery of the over for a maximum. At the time, this was the fastest T20I half-century ever, and he became just the second player in international cricket history to knock six sixes in an over, following Herschelle Gibbs.

After a staggering 16-ball 58, Flintoff eventually removed Yuvraj from the game, enabling India to post a formidable 218/4 in 20 overs. After smashing Flintoff for a six-over long off on the previous delivery, this happened. India won by 18 runs after the British batted admirably in their reply but were only able to reach 200/6 in their 20 overs.
