After a disheartening loss to Pakistan, the Netherlands has a tough test against a confident New Zealand team coming off a dominant victory over England in their last encounter.
With a convincing nine-wicket victory over longtime foe England in their inaugural league match, New Zealand demonstrated their dominance in the sport.
Both sides competed in an effort to win their first ODI World Cup, with England ultimately coming out on top. It was a contest similar to the 2019 World Cup final.
The Netherlands showed potential in their opening game against Pakistan by controlling the proceedings for the majority of the contest. The Dutch lost, but Pakistan pulled off a stunning comeback to win. Vikramjit Singh showed superb form, and Bas de Leede put on an outstanding all-around performance, giving their side reason for optimism.
