All the information you need to know about the World Cup 2023's economic impact on each nation

The ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 is set to begin in a matter of days, and the competing teams have already landed in the host country.

The amount of money that the economies of the participating countries would receive during the major event has been revealed by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the top cricket regulatory body.

It has been noted that the economies of Australia and New Zealand will collectively generate roughly Rs 2,887 crores, while the United Kingdom will experience an increase in earnings from the ODI World Cup 2023 of Rs 3,727 crores. But out of all the participating countries, India, which is hosting the four-year leap-like event, would produce the most juice.

According to The Economic Times, the cricket spectacle will bring in a staggering amount of Rs 13,318 crores for the Indian economy as a portion of its fiscal earnings. The economy of the aforementioned countries will benefit the most, and as a result, the game’s marketing has undoubtedly intensified.

Prize money for winners, runners-up, semi-finalists, and others is disclosed by the ICC.

The prize money for the various participating nations in the next ODI World Cup 2023 was recently revealed by the ICC. There are ten million dollars in the overall reward fund. The winner will naturally earn the largest part, which is equal to US $4,000,000. The prize money for the runners-up and the other two semifinalists is $2,000,000 and $1,600,000.

Speaking of the major competition, the curtain-raiser will include a match between England and New Zealand, the winners of the 2019 edition, at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on October 5. The next day, on October 14, the same location will host a match between the bitter rivals India and Pakistan. Teams are keen to put up a display over the course of 45 days and have already arrived in India.
