In Ahmedabad, England is playing their final match of their Indian tour.
On February 12, the third and final ODI between the two teams took place at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium.
To promote organ donation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled the “Donate Organs, Save Lives” campaign prior to the match.
The players were seen wearing green armbands while both teams played in Ahmedabad as part of the admirable campaign to encourage organ donation. Notably, upon the initiative’s inception, India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir promised to donate his organs.

The BCCI posted a video shortly after the toss in which Indian players voiced their support for the idea and their opinions on the matter. Among the players featured in the video were Mohammed Shami, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and others.
The two sides are supporting the BCCI campaign “Donate Organs, Save Lives” by donning green arm bands. Mr. Jay Shah, the chairman of the ICC, is leading the move. A member of the broadcasting panel and former Indian cricket player Suresh Raina praised the BCCI for taking a deliberate step towards the admirable project that has the potential to change the lives of many people. “It is worthy of praise. It is praiseworthy that the board has taken any action to support the doctors and the medical community in India. Bravo, BCCI,” Raina remarked from the commentary booth.
