The grandson of renowned Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, Saaniya Chandok, is engaged to Arjun Tendulkar, the son of legendary former India batter Sachin Tendulkar. Close friends, family members, and relatives attended the private engagement ceremony.
Mr Paws, a high-end pet salon, spa, and shop in Mumbai, is owned by Chandhok. Ravi Ghai, on the other hand, owns Brooklyn Creamery, an ice cream company and the InterContinental hotel.
Before completing her business management degree at the London School of Economics in 2020, Saaniya Chandok attended Cathedral & John Connon School.
Arjun, on the other hand, is an all-around left-arm fast bowler who plays for the Mumbai Indians, the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions. The 2020–21 season marked the beginning of his domestic career with Mumbai. In a Twenty20 match against Haryana, he received his first cap for Mumbai. Prior to joining the senior squad, Arjun was a youth player for Mumbai. He was a member of the Indian U-19 team as well.
Because of the fierce competition, Arjun was unable to solidify his spot in the Mumbai squad. In the 2022–2023 season, the gifted young player made the decision to move to Goa. During the season, he made his first-class and List A debuts for Goa.
Arjun has participated in 24 T20 games, 18 List A games, and 17 First Class games. In the three formats, he has amassed 532, 102, and 119 runs, respectively. In the meanwhile, he has taken 37, 25, and 27 wickets with the ball.
To date, the 25-year-old has participated in just five IPL matches. At an economy rate of 9.37 and an average of 38, he has taken three wickets. MI acquired Arjun for INR 30 lakh at the IPL 2025 mega-auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last year. He was later removed from Goa’s squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, though. Arjun did not play for the Hardik Pandya-led team in the 2025 Indian Premier League. The Mumbai native is eager to get his career back on track and perform well in the forthcoming domestic season.
