At barely 14, India’s most googled cricket player
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is only 14 years old, is the buzz of the town. He started out as an unknown cricket player from Samastipur, Bihar, but as of today, April 30, 2025, he is the most searched cricket player in India.
A century from 35 balls that rocked the IPL
After Suryavanshi wrote history two days ago, this accomplishment was made possible. The youthful prodigy, who was only playing his third game for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), became the youngest centurion in men’s T20 cricket and the youngest in IPL history when he hammered a century off of 35 balls against the Gujarat Titans (GT). His 101 off 38 balls, which included five fours and eleven sixes, made it the fastest 200-plus chase in IPL history as he assisted RR in easily chasing down a 210-run mark.
Records were broken during the assault.
In the meantime, he equalled the Indian record for the most sixes in an IPL innings and beat Yusuf Pathan’s 37-ball tonne record for RR. He is currently just behind Chris Gayle, who achieved his fastest three-figure mark in 30 balls. To reach his milestone, the southpaw pulled Rashid Khan for a maximum after starting his innings with a six. He had just hit Karim Janat for 30 runs in one over when he did this.
From IPL sensation to U-19 standout
Many people were eager to watch him play live after hearing that he has been selected for the IPL 2025. Interestingly, Sanju Samson’s ailment was the only reason he was included in the starting lineup. He hit a six off the opening ball against Shardul Thakur in his debut. With an undefeated triple hundred in Bihar and a 58-ball Test century against Australia U19, Suryavanshi had already made an impression in the Under-19 circuit before to the IPL.
