When Rohit is present, you suggest to believe in Sharma rather than the proverbial “believe in karma” Aakash Chopra

When Rohit is present, you suggest to believe in Sharma rather than the proverbial "believe in karma" Aakash Chopra

On October 14, Saturday, India easily defeated Pakistan at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium by seven wickets with 19.3 overs remaining. Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra gave a glowing review of the game and praised Rohit Sharma for his performance in it. The captain of India took the initiative and scored 86 runs.

Aakash Chopra, the host of JioCinema’s daily sports program “#AAKASHVANI,” discussed captain Rohit Sharma’s outstanding performance. “By choosing to bat second, captain Rohit Sharma decided to take on the task of chasing whatever total Pakistan managed. Although Rohit was adamant that he was going to accomplish it, it was possible that India would be chasing roughly 300.

He most likely told himself that there was a risk the ball would move in the light, but he persuaded himself to take a chance. After then, even the word “phenomenal” would not do honor to his performance given the way he batted. Straight six, short six, and six over the covers! Some of the best fast bowlers in the world found it to be nearly embarrassing. Accordingly, there is a proverb that reads, “Believe in karma, but when Rohit is around, believe in Sharma!”

Chopra acknowledged that he was anxious after Rohit made the decision to bowl first.

“I was taken aback when India decided to bowl first. They had triumphed once while defending a total and six times while batting first in their previous seven World Cup encounters. However, there has been discussion in Ahmedabad that there is a lot of dew in the evenings, and this may be the case. However, the start Pakistan received in the first 10 overs had my heart in my mouth, I swear to God. After winning the toss and scoring roughly 350, you had that one chance to bat out the squad, but you declined to do so. There was no way Pakistan could have pursued it.
