England

Both Pakistan and England 2023 ODI World Cup campaigns came to an end after they were eliminated in the group stages and were unable to advance to the tournament’s knockout stages.

But given both teams’ dismal achievements in the competition, many will be curious about the amount of prize money each will receive. It is noteworthy that Pakistan will receive $100,000 for losing in the group rounds and $40,000 for winning each group stage. Pakistan will receive a prize of $260,000 in total.

However, England will also receive $40,000 for each victory during the group stages and $100,000 for being eliminated. England will get $220,000 in total following their 2023 World Cup campaign.

In terms of their World Cup performances, England entered the competition as the reigning winners. Jos Buttler was in charge, and everyone was quite high on the side. But it seemed like the team was unable to bear the burden that was placed on them.

England participated in nine games in the event, winning three of them and losing the other six.

With six points from nine games, the defending champions were in seventh place in the rankings at the end of the group stage.

However, there was still optimism that Pakistan would survive until the very end. To move up to fourth position in the standings and earn a spot in the semi-finals, the Men in Green had to defeat the reigning champions by a significant margin.

With eight points from nine games, Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, concluded the campaign in fifth place in the standings. The team was able to win four games and lose the other five. Both Pakistan and England will turn their attention to their respective next games and try to play better after their underwhelming performances in the competition.
