The women’s team of Cricket West Indies (CWI) has revealed their roster for their forthcoming visit to Pakistan. Five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) will make up the series, which will include a 15-member squad announced for the April–May 2024 tour.
Notably, Kate Wilmott has been called up to the squad for the first time, and her success in the CG United Women’s T20 Blaze and Super50 Cup competitions is all that counts. In addition, Qiana Joseph and Chedean Nation, who were absent from the team’s 2023 tour to Australia, have been called up to the squad.
The three ODIs between Pakistani and West Indian women will serve as the first event of the multi-format series. April 18, 21, and 23 are the planned dates for the ODIs.
Both teams will square off in five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches on April 26, 28, 30, and May 2, following the three-game ODI series. The West Indies should expect a string of hard matches against the team when they travel to Pakistan.

Lead Women’s Cricket Selector Ann Browne-John spoke up following the release of the West Indies women’s team, highlighting how crucial the team’s forthcoming series against Pakistan is.
The squad is making their comeback to international play after nearly six months, and this series versus Australia is quite significant. As they are ready to compete in the T20 World Cup later this year, the team will get some much-needed T20 matches in addition to the three ODIs, according to Ann Browne-John in a CWI news statement.

Chedean Nation, a seasoned veteran, will be back in the batting lineup, and 19-year-old fast bowler Kate Wilmott will make her debut. It is hoped that this trend would continue into the Pakistan series. The players recently finished a regional event in which some of the more seasoned players turned in good performances.
