The Cricket West Indies (CWI) Senior Men’s Selection Panel will announce the 15-person team for the upcoming three-match Test series against England on Tuesday, June 4. After their thrilling victory against Australia at the Gabba earlier this year, this will be the Caribbean team’s maiden Test match.
Beginning on July 10 at the Lord’s, the first test match will take place. It will also be the final time the great James Anderson appears abroad. Trent Bridge will host the second match on July 18, while Edgbaston will host the third on July 26.
Kraigg Brathwaite will try to lead his team to more victories in the European country after levelling the series against the World Test Champions, Australia. Alzarri Joseph, a fast bowler, will once again act as his deputy. Jaydon Seales, meanwhile, has returned after missing the Australia tour because of an injury. Furthermore, called up is the seasoned Jason Holder, who declined to travel to Australia.
The squad is expected to go to the UK on June 23 in order to train at Tonbridge School before playing a four-day warm-up match at Beckingham starting on July 4.

CWI Lead Selector Desmond Haynes said in a board release, “We are confident that this combination of seasoned players and up-and-coming faces will perform admirably against England.”
The Windies‘ younger players advance quickly.
Mikyle Louis, 23, who bats first, has been called up for the first time to an international team. In his first season with the Leeward Island Hurricanes, Louis—a former West Indies U-19 international—scored 682 runs at an average of 48.71.
Isai Thorne, a 19-year-old pacer, will accompany the team as a development player. After taking 31 wickets at an average of 16.29 in his first eight matches during his first-ever first-class season, he was recognised for his outstanding efforts.
Following their 1-0 victory over England in their home Test series in March 2022, the West Indies are the current Richards Botham Trophy holders.
