We do not look like novices while play our 1st match in Australia, and credit goes to Kohli and Rohit: Akash Deep

During the third Test match against Australia in Brisbane, Bengali speedster Akash Deep, who was praised for his senior players in a previous interview, showed great batsmanship. The 28-year-old acknowledged Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Virat Kohli’s contributions, which have enabled him to advance quickly in international cricket.

Regarding Bumrah, Deep said that the Indian vice-captain’s meagre contributions had really benefited him. The Dehri native claimed that he bowled well because Bumrah told him not to be impressed by how much support the surface was giving the seamers.

I’m visiting Australia for the first time. Jasprit Bumrah is someone I trust, and his small contributions are quite helpful.

His statements are straightforward, and this clarity greatly aids in understanding. Speaking to the media on Sunday, December 22, following a net session, Deep stated, “It helped me bowl well because he said not to get excited by the help in the pitch.”

With 13 wickets from six Test matches thus far in his career, the right-arm bowler praised Rohit and Kohli for their ongoing comments.

“The fact that we do not look novices while playing our first match in Australia – a lot of that credit goes to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who constantly give feedback to the bowlers,” Deep added.

We have no control over the outcome as cricket players; we just have the process: Akash Deep

According to Deep, the process is more important to him than the outcome. He explained that he prefers to stay true to his lines and lengths over doing ostentatious stuff.

“The outcome is out of our control as cricket players; we only have control over the process. I try to follow my discipline, my lines, and my lengths, and I hope that everything works out,” Akash Deep stated.

Australia has replaced Nathan McSweeney with the gifted Sam Konstas, who will begin the batting alongside Usman Khawaja in the fourth Test. Deep isn’t really upset, though, as he stated that the team’s main goal is to bowl well and utilise the new ball to its full potential.

The adjustments made by Australia are beneficial to us. Sam Konstas, a new batter they brought in, was played by us. We have nothing new to report. Our goal is to bowl well, and I want to achieve that,” he continued. “We don’t consider who enters or exits.

Our strategy is to take advantage of the new ball. With the new ball, they are having trouble. The Indian pacer came to the conclusion that the strategy was to attack within the first 30 overs.
