Following the conclusion of the final between the South African and Pakistani champions on August 2 at Edgbaston, Birmingham, WCL owner Harshit Tomar had a huge surprise planned for tournament presenter Karishma Kotak.
With his brilliant century in the final, AB de Villiers turned back time and assisted South Africa in defeating Pakistan by a margin of nine wickets. Within 17 overs, they managed to chase down a target of 196 runs.
The summit altercation was amusing, but Harshit Tomar remarks astounded everyone.
As the tournament’s second season drew to a close, Kotak, a former Indian Premier League (IPL) presenter, asked Harshit Tomar what he would do and how he would celebrate. According to the latter, he would then ask her to marry him. Kotak looked taken aback by this remark. In little time at all, the video of this exchange went popular on social media.
“How are you going to celebrate today?” Kotak enquired.
Harshit replied as follows:
“Probably once this is over, I’m going to propose to you.”

JP Duminy hit 50 not out off 28 deliveries in the final, while de Villiers hammered an undefeated 120 from 60 balls. The only batter from South Africa to be ejected was Hashim Amla. Pakistan achieved a respectable score of 195/5 in 20 overs earlier in the day thanks to Sharjeel Khan’s 76 off 44 deliveries. Wayne Parnell and Hardus Viljoen each took two wickets.
With 431 runs from six innings at an average of 143.67 and a strike rate of 221.03, the renowned De Villiers was the tournament’s top scorer. In addition to winning the Final, the former South African captain was named Player of the Match. In the meantime, Wayne Parnell and Peter Siddle shared the six-team competition’s greatest number of wickets taken. Each of them took 11 wickets. Parnell appeared in seven games, compared to Siddle’s six.
