Watch: Jasprit Bumrah Returns to SCG After Scans

The Indian team’s most notable player in the current Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 is Jasprit Bumrah. One of the few positive developments for India in the difficult tour thus far has been his pivotal play with the ball. In the fifth Test, the right-arm bowler was at his peak, taking two wickets in the opening innings.

However, on Day 2, during lunch, Bumrah emerged to bowl, and he was observed exiting the pitch as soon as he completed the over. As India laboured once more in the second innings, some of the videos showing him exiting the stadium quickly became problematic. With a breath of relief from the supporters, the veteran returned to the Indian dressing room just before the final session ended.

They are enthusiastic, and it’s wonderful to see: The Manjrekar

Australia has been a fantastic trip for Bumrah. With nine innings played, the top Indian pacer has taken 32 wickets at an average of 13.06. With twenty-three wickets under his belt, Pat Cummins is much behind him.

When leading the team, Bumrah was at his most aggressive, and Rohit Sharma resigned before the last Test due to his subpar performance. Former Indian cricket player Sanjay Manjrekar was extremely impressed with the Indian team’s on-field zeal.

It’s wonderful to witness this kind of emotion at the conclusion of a lengthy series, and they are all fired up. “Bumrah has been incredible, and ‘great’ doesn’t seem to adequately characterise his bowling performance,” Manjrekar stated, as cited by India Today.
