In the first IPL 2025 qualifier between the Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium, Yash Dayal scored early to dismiss Priyansh Arya. After scoring seven runs off five deliveries, the 23-year-old left the pitch.
A delivery on the decent length outside the off stump channel was bowled by the left-arm seamer. Priyansh timed it fairly nicely by leaning into the cover drive, but he was unable to locate the ideal position and ultimately gave Krunal Pandya a simple catch at cover.

In his third over, Yash Dayal made his second breakthrough when Nehal Wadhera (eight off 10) was hit by a halting drive that disturbed his stumps.
The fifth batter to fall for PBKS was Wadhera. After winning the toss and choosing to field first, RCB was in a complete funk.
The game’s victor will immediately guarantee a spot in the championship match. On Tuesday, June 3, the summit match will take place in Ahmedad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. RCB seemed to be the favourite to win because of their flawless ball-handling start.
Following the league phase, PBKS and RCB each have nine wins, four losses, and no results in their respective standings. The final score for both teams was 19 points. Even so, PBKS’ slightly higher net run rate (+0.372 vs. 0.301) helped them top the points table.
