[Watch] IPL 2025: Suyash Sharma, an RCB spinner, weaves a web around PBKS at Mullanpur

Suyash Sharma, a spinner for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), crushed the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 Qualifier 1 at Mullanpur on May 29. A direct ticket to the final will be awarded to the winner of the current game.

Suyash Sharma arrived to bowl the eighth over and only made an appearance on the over’s second ball.

Shashank Singh was delivered a wrong’un by the spinner. The ball smashed against the leg-stump after the hitter unsuccessfully attempted to slug it across the line.

Suyash Sharma gave Musheer Khan a lovely delivery with a slip on the angle on the fifth ball of the same over. The ball struck the batter’s pads after he missed the shot entirely. Musheer contested the ruling, but it was a double-wicket over because ball-tracking produced three reds.

After that, Suyash came back to bowl the eleventh over and hit the third ball to get rid of Marcus Stoinis, an all-rounder for Australia. The right-handed batter’s leg stump trembled after he messed up his sweep.

Ultimately, RCB bowled PBKS out for just 101 in 14.1 overs, utterly dominating them. Josh Hazlewood contributed with a strong session of 3 for 21, but Suyash stood out with superb figures of 3 for 17.

In order to guarantee their place in the IPL 2025 finals, which will take place on June 3 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, RCB must chase 102 runs in the 20 overs.
