In Match 70 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, captain Rishabh Pant of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) enthralled the crowd at Ekana Stadium with an incredible century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The home crowd and his teammates were thrilled when the left-handed batter performed a somersault to commemorate the milestone.
Rishabh Pant launched a fuller-length delivery over the cover boundary for a boundary, marking his century in a distinctive way.
Following his undefeated 128 off 63 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Delhi during the 2018 IPL, it was his second IPL century. He is the fastest LSG batsman to reach a century with 54 balls.

Rishabh Pant had a dismal season prior to this game, scoring just 151 runs before the RCB match began. But with a furious, undefeated knock that featured eight sixes and eleven fours, he changed the tide.
Jitesh Sharma, the captain of the RCB, won the toss earlier in the evening and chose to bowl first. Nuwan Thushara removed LSG opener Matthew Breetzke early for 14, but Pant and Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh put together a formidable 152-run stand for the second wicket. LSG achieved a strong total of 227/3 in 20 overs thanks to Marsh’s 67 off 37 deliveries.
To guarantee a spot in the top two of the IPL 2025 playoffs, RCB must chase 228. With 17 points, they are presently ranked third in the standings. Although they are no longer in the running for the playoffs, LSG will try to finish the season strong in front of their home supporters. They have 14 points, which puts them in sixth position.
