Akash Singh, the bowler for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), talked about his contentious celebration following his dismissal of Jos Buttler in the 64th IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) game against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at Ahmedabad. The left-arm bowler delivered a lovely slower delivery that clipped the top of the middle stump, pierced the bat-pad gap, and totally fooled Buttler.
The left-arm pacer made a wild celebration after a stunning delivery, mimicking Digvesh Rathi’s celebrations when he dismisses batters with a violent gesture. During Lucknow’s post-match video on their social media account following the game, Akash was questioned about the celebration.
Speaking candidly, Singh stated that Digvesh, who was disqualified from the LSG vs. GT IPL 2025 match, was the reason for his celebration. He had assured ‘his brother’ Rathi that his absence would not be felt because he would conduct the party in his place, Akash continued. Fans took notice of Akash’s notebook celebration following Jos Buttler’s dismissal.
“Oh, devote Rathi ko karna tha mere bhai. Miss hone nahin denge, usko bola tha match se pehle ki tujhe ground mein. Chinta mat kar. “I wanted to dedicate it to my brother, Rathi.” Tere liye parchi kaatenge. Before the game, I assured him that he would not be missed on the field. “Don’t worry.” In the Gujarat Titans’ video, Akash stated, “We’ll throw that party for you.

Against Gujarat, Lucknow showed greatness with the bat and the ball.
LSG played well against GT in their home field after struggling in the second half of the season, which ultimately resulted in their ouster from the IPL 2025. The visiting team, batting first, amassed 235 runs thanks to an outstanding century from Mitchell Marsh and an undefeated 57 from Nicholas Pooran.
While chasing a massive 236 runs, GT kept losing wickets. Buttler, who scored 33 and appeared dangerous while he was at the crease, was one of them. Akash was the one who got rid of the combative batter. In the 64th game of the season, he bowled three overs, gave up 29 runs, and took Buttler’s wicket.
