With a new roster and new management, the Delhi Capitals (DC) have so far enjoyed a great IPL season. The team has made significant progress since Axar Patel was named captain, and with six victories, they are now in second place in the standings.
On April 27, DC will play Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. The DC batters were practicing prior to the match. KL Rahul, the team’s top run scorer this season, was seen striking deliveries during net practice in a video posted by the DC social media account.
He was surprised by the situation, though, when the right-handed batter unexpectedly broke into two during one shot. After picking up the broken bat, the DC captain joked that he now had a new bat and told his teammate Tristan Stubbs. The left-arm spinner concluded a pleasant event by saying, “This mongoose bat only has the handle,” after the Proteas cricketer acknowledged.

With both clubs in excellent condition, DC will play RCB in the meanwhile. The goal of the game is to win and go one step closer to the playoffs. With six wickets remaining, DC easily won the previous meeting between the two teams, which took place at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The batsman, who was born in Bengaluru, led from the front and led the side to victory with an undefeated 93* off 53 balls. Virat Kohli, the team’s hometown player, will therefore try to win the game for his team and earn the sixth IPL 2025 victory as RCB seeks retribution against DC. In addition, DC will concentrate on maintaining their winning streak and trying to win the game in front of their home crowd.
