During Sunrisers Hyderabad’s intra-squad practice matches prior to the forthcoming Indian Premier League, Ishan Kishan was seen in raging form with the bat.
On their official X account, the team shared a sample of his scorching 24-ball 64 and 30-ball 73*-run knocks. Ishan Kishan seems comfortable facing both pacers and spinners in the brief video, rejecting nearly every ball that was sent at him with elegant grace.

During last November’s two-day mega auction in Jeddah, Kishan was added to the SRH unit. The left-handed top-order batsman was acquired by the Orange Army for INR 11.25 crore after being released by the Mumbai Indians prior to the event. Kishan might be a serious threat to the regular opening pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma given the way he was hitting the ball in the video.
In the IPL, the 26-year-old southpaw is no stranger. His tenth season in the prestigious 20-over league will be the 2025 Indian Premier League. He joined the MI unit in the 2018 season after playing for the now-defunct Gujarat Lions in 2016 and 2017. He has since contributed a number of significant innings to the league’s joint-most successful team. Kishan has amassed 2,644 runs with a strike rate of 135.86 ahead of the forthcoming season.
In the previous edition, Sunrisers Hyderabad had placed second.
They lost badly against the Kolkata Knight Riders after an incredible journey to the final. For the one-time champs to advance this time, Kishan’s performance will be essential. Pat Cummins will lead SRH once more, but it’s unclear if he’ll be ready for the opening game. On Sunday, March 23, they will play their first game of the season at home against the Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
