Although DC ultimately prevailed by seven wickets, Travis Head’s vulnerability against Mitchell Starc was clearly visible. In the opening over, the hitter hit two brilliant boundaries against Starc, but the bowler thereafter dominated by getting rid of him.
Mitchell Starc, Australia’s deadly bowler, won the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 30 and left everyone in awe. The threatening SRH team was reduced to 163 in the first innings after he claimed a fifer.
When discussing the player conflict on a LiSTNR podcast, the host questioned Australian cricketer and Starc’s wife Alyssa Healy about the rivalry and whether or not she knew about it.
“On Sunday evening, turn on the television and watch Mitch Stark charge at Travis Head and defeat him once more.” Given that it’s seven innings, 29 balls, eight runs, and five wickets, I’m not sure if Mitch sends Travis a card from the Easter Bunny that features a picture of him or something similar. “Do the two know this?” the host enquired.
Healy affirmed this with assurance, adding that Starc knows this and continues to remind Travis Head of it.
The cricket player disclosed that although Head makes every effort to avoid playing Starc, he nonetheless gets in his way during a game and leaves.
“Yeah Mitch Mitch knows it I dare say he reminds Trav of it as well, and it is in Trav’s head because Trav normally faces the first ball, and every time it’s Mitch opening the ball, he doesn’t, but Mitch gets stuck into him, like you got to come down here eventually mate So you may as well get it over and done with But um yeah you sure as a batter I know exactly who gets me out a lot So you try and avoid them where possible And bad luck Trav,” Healy continued.
