Shreyas Iyer is unquestionably among the league’s top captains. He began his career in this field in 2018 as the head coach of the Delhi Capitals (then known as the Daredevils). He continued after that. He assisted DC in making it to the 2020 Finals and the playoffs in 2019–21. Iyer went on to lead KKR to victory in 2024 after being appointed captain in 2022.
