Virat Kohli scored a record 53 hundreds (102) in Raipur, adding yet another accomplishment to his outstanding ODI career. He also tied Sachin Tendulkar for the most ODI hundreds at various locations (34), which puts him at the top of the all-time record in the format. Despite being a one-format player, Kohli is still very good at ODI cricket. He now has 34 ODI tonnes in various sites, matching Tendulkar’s record, and he is ahead of other greats like Rohit Sharma, Hashim Amla, and AB de Villiers.

For the eleventh consecutive ODI century, Virat scores a perfect score.
After scoring a century in the previous game at Ranchi, Virat carried on his excellent form into the second ODI in Raipur. Additionally, the innings marked his eleventh consecutive ODI century, the most by any player in the history of the game. He has now scored more than 500 runs in six different stadiums and achieved ODI hundreds, surpassing cricketing greats like Jacques Kallis, Dean Jones, Tendulkar, and Kumar Sangakkara.
The veteran and Ruturaj Gaikwad put together an outstanding 195-run partnership when India was allowed to bat first on a level pitch. With his 102 from 93 balls, which included two sixes and seven fours, Kohli kept the scoreboard moving as South Africa attempted to rally.
Against South Africa, Virat scored his eighth century, further solidifying his hold on a team he averages close to 70 against. Early difficulties were avoided by India thanks to the 195-run partnership with Gaikwad, who achieved his first ODI century. Additionally, he reached his 40th century at home, again only surpassed by the Master Blaster (42), and his 84th century in international cricket, second only to Tendulkar’s 100.
