When they batted first, Pakistan set a lofty goal of 160 runs. The early wicket loss, however, left India reeling at 31/4 in the seventh over, giving the Pakistani bowlers hope.

“Let’s face it, Kohli is the world’s greatest player. And the reason he is the finest player in the world, as demonstrated in that match, given the circumstances, where losing four wickets in 40 runs and the manner in which our three fast bowlers were bowling allowed only him to win the match,” Nawaz continued.
He took solace in the priceless lessons he had gained from the MCG game. Because of the experience, he can now think more clearly and respond promptly and composedly in challenging situations. He also praised Kohli’s innings and said that he played a key role in helping India win.
