Virat Kohli, a once-in-a-generation cricket player, has been playing for India in international matches since 2008 and has won multiple awards over his remarkable career. He plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and has amassed over 8,000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and over 25,000 runs in international cricket.
The 36-year-old, who is nearing the end of his career, has revealed his ideas for what he would do once he retires from the sport.
“To be honest, I have no idea what I’ll be doing after I retire. I recently asked the same question to a teammate and received the same response. Yes, but perhaps a lot of travelling,” Virat Kohli remarked in a conversation at the Indian Sports Summit hosted by the RCB Innovation Lab in Bengaluru.
Virat Kohli considers age to be irrelevant.
Given his consistent level of fitness throughout the years, it is not surprising that Virat Kohli has extended his cricket career. He was the driving force behind the Indian team’s emphasis on fitness. Kohli hasn’t let age-related physical limitations be an excuse for his skill on the field, whether it’s taking fast singles between the wickets or sprinting in the outfield to save crucial runs for the team.
“You can do a lot of things in your thirties which you can do in your twenties,” the Delhi native said.

“We have a fantastic opportunity to play cricket in the Olympics. It will be fantastic for the team to return with a medal,” he stated.
