According to reports, Team India players received a warning when Virat Kohli revealed a 'secret' Yo-Yo test score.

The national team players received a verbal warning from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after star batter Virat Kohli posted his Yo-Yo test score on social media. The apex board urged the players to refrain from revealing what it deemed to be “confidential information” on social media.

Team India is currently in the middle of a five-day skill-enhancement camp in Alur, Karnataka, as they begin their route to the vital Asia Cup 2023 campaign. To gauge their level of fitness for the ACC tournament, participants had to take the “Yo-Yo” test prior to camp.

Virat Kohli, a former captain of India, then uploaded a selfie and his Yo-Yo test result on his Instagram story.

The description for the photo said, “The joy of finishing the Yo Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done.”

While the BCCI members were unamused by Virat Kohli post, a verbal warning was given to the players, advising them not to divulge secret information as it could result in contract breach.

“Players have been verbally warned not to post any private information on social media channels. The Indian Express quoted a BCCI official as saying, “They can share images while working out, but posting a score results in a breach of the contract agreement.

Team India starts preparing for the 2023 Asia Cup.

The think tank has enlisted 14 net bowlers for the five-day camp in Alur in order to guarantee the “quality of practice sessions.” On September 2, the Men in Blue will play their first game at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka, against their bitter rivals, Pakistan.

The team’s captain, Rohit Sharma, will remain in charge, and Hardik Pandya has been designated as his replacement for the ACC match. In order to strengthen particular areas and assemble a core team in time for the highly anticipated 2023 ODI World Cup, Team India will travel to the Asia Cup.
