Virat Kohli‘s on-field antics have often caused the internet to go down. At the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, December 6, during the third One-Day International between South Africa and India, the renowned batsman mimicked the walk of Temba Bavuma after he caught his catch from Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling.
Bavuma came in to bat in the first over itself after Arshdeep Singh had removed Ryan Rickelton for a duck, and he played conservatively during his 48-run knock off 67. Quinton de Kock and the South African captain had established a strong 113-run partnership off 121 balls.
In order to rejoin the match, India needed a wicket. In the final ball of the match’s twenty-first over, Jadeja delivered that. Bavuma was tempted to take a drive as the left-arm spinner hung a delivery outside off-stump. Only at backward point was the small batter able to slice it to Virat Kohli.
Although Virat Kohli took the easy catch without making a mistake, he chose to celebrate it in a different way after being dismissed.
The former captain of India made his colleagues laugh by imitating Bavuma’s gait. It took some time for the fans to realise what Virat Kohli was doing, but when they did, they cheered loudly.
Since Bavuma has been a pain in their side lately, the Men in Blue understood the significance of the wicket.
