Rohit Sharma is the most dangerous player, and Virat Kohli is the finest batter: Mohammed Shami

Virat Kohli is the world’s greatest batter, according to Indian pacer Mohammed Shami. Several former cricket players ended the 35-year-old’s illustrious career in 2020 and 2021 after he went through a difficult period. Still, the batter from Delhi came back stronger than ever, topping the scoreboard for both the ODI World Cup in the subcontinent and the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. In the process, he also managed to score the most century runs in one-day international cricket history—50—by any cricket player in history.

Virat Kohli is currently not playing for the Indian squad, citing personal reasons. It’s a little worrying that he might miss the final three Test matches against England as well, considering how badly India has batted in the first two matches. In Visakhapatnam, the hosts prevailed due to individual excellence, but there is still much room for development in terms of batting.

Rohit Sharma was dubbed the most dangerous batter by Shami at the same time. Often referred to as the “Hitman,” Rohit performed admirably in the ODI World Cup, starting most of the team’s matches well. He amassed 597 runs at a massive strike rate of 125.94 in 11 games, which is incredible, to say the least.

“Virat Kohli is the world’s greatest batsman.” Just now, he shattered numerous records.

I think Virat Kohli is the greatest, but Rohit Sharma is the world’s most dangerous batter, in my opinion,” Mohammed Shami. told News18.

Rohit’s form declined shortly after the ODI World Cup. After failing to impress against South Africa, he has already struggled in the opening two Test matches of the series against England. Given that India is currently in a difficult situation, the captain is under pressure to turn things around, and the ten-day gap between the second and third Tests should benefit the first player. In Kohli’s absence, KL Rahul is likely to replace Rajat Patidar in the starting XI.
