After a Spike in ICC One-Day International Rankings, Virat Kohli Is Getting Closer to Babar Azam

Virat Kohli, a player who formerly captained India, has been promoted up the most recent ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings as a result of his outstanding recent performance.

During the recently concluded One-Day International (ODI) series that India won against Sri Lanka, Virat Kohli scored two hundreds and racked up an astounding 283 runs from three innings.

As a direct consequence of this, he moved up the most recent list of ODI hitters by two places, moving into fourth position.

Virat Kohli has boosted his total to 750 points and is now closely trailing Rassie van der Dussen (766 points) and Quinton de Kock (759 points), who are in second and third place, respectively. Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, continues to hold a clear lead with 887 rating points.

Not only Virat Kohli, but also his teammates Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav were amply compensated for their performances against Sri Lanka and moved up on the most recent rankings that were revealed by the ICC. Virat Kohli was the only player from India to climb up on the list.

During the course of the series, Gill scored both a century and a fifty, and his total of 207 runs at an average of 69 enabled the opening move up 10 places to finish the match ranked 26th overall among batters in ODIs.

As a result of his nine series wickets, Siraj has made the most significant advancement, moving up 15 places to third place on the list of all-time ODI bowlers.

In order to close the distance between himself and the leaders Trent Boult (730) and Josh Hazlewood, he improves his rating to a career-high of 685 points.

Due to the fact that Kuldeep took five wickets in just two games against Sri Lanka, he moved up seven places on the most current list of bowlers, landing at the 21st position.

After the recently concluded One-Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi, three of the players from both countries moved up in the rankings.

The New Zealand team’s skipper, Kane Williamson, amassed 164 runs during the course of the series and moved up three spots to seventh place overall on the most recent batter rankings as a direct result of his performance.

Teammate Devon Conway, who scored a combined 150 runs over the course of the three games, climbed from outside the top 100 all the way up to the fifty-first slot.

After Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz took six wickets in the series, he moved up 12 places on the list of bowlers and is now ranked 28th. This was the most significant advancement for Pakistan.
