Virat Kohli gifts signed jersey to Kevin Pietersen's son, image goes viral

Virat Kohli, the former captain and batting mainstay of Team India, gave Kevin Pietersen a very remarkable gift along with many priceless memories when he returned home from India. During England’s white-ball tour in India, the former England great, who oversaw broadcasting responsibilities, enjoyed a touching moment with his son, Dylan.

Pietersen posted a touching image of Dylan sporting a limited-overs Indian jersey that was signed by Kohli on social media. He acknowledged his supporters by telling them how thrilled his son was to get Kohli’s unique shirt. Additionally, he explained that it was perfectly sized, akin to a batter’s cricket gloves.

“Got home and delivered a gift from @virat.kohli to @dylanpietersenphotography, and it started right away! It fits perfectly. Many thanks, friend. Pietersen posted something on his Instagram account.

But in terms of both the game and the performance, England’s trip of India is a memorable experience. The team captained by Jos Buttler had a terrible run, losing seven of their eight white-ball games. They dropped the T20I series 1-4 and were humiliated 0-3 in the ODIs, which is a serious warning flag before the Champions Trophy.

Notably, commentator Kevin Pietersen was unreserved in his criticism of England’s formation—or lack thereof. On broadcast, Ravi Shastri expressed his dissatisfaction by pointing out that England did not adequately prepare or train. Later, the former great English batter criticized the team’s reckless attitude in a tweet. Additionally, he questioned the team’s dedication to the game by mentioning Joe Root as the only player to have a net session after the Nagpur match.

Sorry, but I’m in complete shock that England hasn’t had a single team practice since losing the T20 series and the first ODI. How might this be? Oh my god, how?” On his ‘X’ handle, Pietersen wrote.

“No athlete on the earth can sincerely claim that they would grow better without practicing while losing. They didn’t try if England didn’t practice. If you’re doing your hardest, losing is acceptable. What about this? Any England supporter would be devastated by this,” he continued.

England must now prepare for the Champions Trophy, where they will reassemble in the United Arab Emirates before playing their debut match against Australia.
