This outstanding accomplishment comes on top of the countless runs he has scored for the Indian men’s team in international competition, which has also made him the most followed Indian on Instagram.
Despite having a sizable fan base, Virat had stopped sharing any team or personal accomplishments on social media, and for the past two to three years, his feed has primarily consisted of brand endorsements and advertising partnerships. The cricket player, however, subsequently removed all of these posts from his social media website, leaving internet users to wonder why.
Virat recently spoke with Danish Sait on the sidelines of the IPL 2025, and he has now disclosed why he took that move. He disclosed during the conversation that he is currently in a situation where he dislikes interacting with people on social media. He added that while he does not have any firm plans for the future, he would like to avoid online endorsements for the time being.
“Social media is a really fascinating area for me. I’m not in a position where I’m interacting with people too much right now. The future is unpredictable. In a video that RCB posted to social media, Virat stated, “But it definitely needed a reset.”
