Vinod Kambli provides a health report and declares himself able to play cricket. "By the grace of god, I'm surviving," he says.

The footage of former cricket player Vinod Kambli enduring hardship on the streets of Mumbai went viral earlier this week. Upon dismounting his bike, the 52-year-old was observed, requiring assistance from onlookers to stand upright. Social media users were captivated by the video, with many wishing that his pal Sachin Tendulkar would provide him with financial support so he could improve his health.

But Vinod Kambli recently provided an update on his health, saying he’s good and eager to play cricket again. In good spirits, he was surrounded by friends.

As his pals vowed to support him going forward, Vinod Kambli declared himself to be “fit and fine” in the video.

Marcus, I’m OK. I’m here, thanks to God’s grace. Alright and satisfactory. I’m able to go to the pitch and bat, yes. (I’d bat at) the third number. In the now-viral video, Kambli vowed to “hit (spinners) out of the ground.”

at 1991, Kambli played his first international match at Sharjah, against Pakistan. He went on to play for his country in 104 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), amassing 2477 runs, and 17 Test matches, where he scored 1084 runs at an average of 54.20. The cricketer, who was born in Mumbai, played cricket for India till 2000. From there, he played domestic cricket until 2004.

The batsman was criticised for his flashy strokeplay and was thought to be a future star in his prime, but Kambli was unable to live up to his potential.
