After Vaibhav Suryavanshi‘s knock against CSK in the 62nd IPL 2025 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Vikram Rathour commended his maturity and temperament. Suryavanshi is an exceptional batter, according to the RR hitting coach, who also mentioned that the management has been working with him for the past three to four months.
Rathour said it was good to see Suryavanshi perform well under pressure during the game, even though he claimed that everyone in the management knew what he could provide. The league’s top bowlers, including Khaleel Ahmed, Noor Ahmad, Anshul Kamboj, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin, faced the star batter.
“Amazing. Rathour stated in the press conference following the game, “We have been working with him for a while now, maybe three or four months, and we have seen all these aspects, but it is great to see him performing well in games under pressure.”
He will undoubtedly become a better player as a result of these kinds of experiences: Vikram Rathour
At the start of the second innings, the 56-year-old observed that there was some movement in the air. He believed that in the Powerplay overs, the rising batter did not receive enough strikes. Vikram Rathour praised Suryavanshi’s maturity and demeanour, adding that his exposure to these kinds of circumstances may help him develop as a batter.
“The ball was doing a little when he entered the game, which was a significant one today. He was rarely on strike on the powerplay and received very few deliveries. He displayed a very good temperament and level of maturity. He will undoubtedly become a better player in the future as a result of these experiences,” Vikram Rathour continued.
So far, Suryavanshi’s first season has been fantastic. With a fantastic strike rate of over 206 and an average of 36.00, the southpaw has amassed 252 runs from seven innings. Against Gujarat Titans, he achieved his highest score of 101(38), setting a new mark for the fastest IPL tonne by an Indian.
