At the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma hit a six that cracked the windscreen of the sponsored vehicle.
The SRH opener blasted veteran spinner Bhuvneshwar Kumar for a huge six on the fifth delivery after he bowled the second over of the first innings. The left-hander judged the length early and sent the ball flying over deep midwicket for a maximum after the seasoned bowler produced a short of length delivery just outside off. The crowd cheered loudly as the ball destroyed the sponsored car after landing directly on its windscreen.

Notably, because of the ongoing rain in the Karnataka capital, the game was moved from Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium. The last match between RCB and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the location was called off without a toss.
Rajat Patidar was demoted to Impact Player due to a finger injury, and Jitesh Sharma took over as RCB captain. In addition, RCB replaced the injured Devdutt Padikkal with Mayank Agarwal. Conversely, SRH added Jaydev Unadkat, Travis Head, and Abhinav Manohar to the starting lineup.
With 17 points going into this match, RCB was ranked second in the IPL 2025 points standings and had already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. With a victory today, they would surpass the Gujarat Titans (GT), who now hold the top spot with 18 points. With nine points, SRH is now in ninth place and has already been eliminated from the playoff competition. The team captained by Pat Cummins hopes to defeat the Bengaluru-based team and finish their campaign on a positive note.
