High level protection is promised by Islamabad police for the upcoming tour of Pakistan by New Zealand.
The following week, New Zealand will travel to Pakistan for a five-match T20I and five-match ODI series. From April 14 to April 24, Lahore and Rawalpindi will host matches in the T20I series. The ODI series, meanwhile, will be contested in Rawalpindi and Karachi from April 26 to May 7.

The Islamabad police announced on Sunday, April 9, that Pakistan will provide top-notch security for the New Zealand cricket team’s visit. They added that they provided the greatest degree of security during the tour of the English cricket team and the eighth Pakistan Super League (PSL).

“The New Zealand Cricket Team will receive complete, foolproof, and top-notch security from Islamabad Capital Police during their upcoming tour. The Islamabad Capital Police, who also provided the highest level of security throughout the year 2022-2023, flawlessly secured the England cricket team’s tour and PSL 8. In cooperation with other stakeholders in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the ICTP will play a crucial role in the provision of faultless security. Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the IGP “Police in Islamabad, tweeted

The PSL 8 exhibition game was exciting to watch.

Earlier in February, a blast occurred close to the Nawab Akbar Bugti Stadium in Quetta during a PSL exhibition game between the Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi. Up to five people were hurt in the blast that happened in the Police Lines neighborhood. Notably, the match was held there because Baloch supporters asked for Quetta to host a PSL game.

Peshawar Zalmi featured some of Pakistan’s best cricketers, including captain Babar Azam and former captain Shahid Afridi. The game was abandoned as a result of the explosion, and all of the players were taken to the locker room in safety. Later, the illegal Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the security personnel were their intended targets.
