Over the years, there have been a lot of events in cricket that have caught the attention of the viewers. Numerous positive and negative changes have been made to the sport. Rarely, though, does a situation arise where the spectators are actually left speechless by what they have just seen. Kent Lanka was given the opportunity to bat first and aimed to put up a significant score. Nicolo Fernando, a batter who appeared to be in the zone and wanted to extend his innings, was strangely removed from the game.
Similar circumstances occurred on September 18 during Kent Lanka vs. Casalina, the 41st match of the European T10 League.
The delivery edged the bat and got hooked in the helmet grill of Casalina’s wicketkeeper as he attempted to play the shot over the long-on region. Fernando was declared out by the umpire and sent back to the pavilion following a brief appeal by the bowler. On social media, the trending video has been making the rounds.

Casalina was unable to capitalise as Lanka effectively defended the objective.
First-innings batsman Fernando led Lanka to an excellent showing, scoring 40 runs off just 17 deliveries to get the team going. Ishan Shaminda also added another 18 runs to the score. Kent Lanka scored 105 runs in the first innings, setting Casalina a 106-run goal to reach.
Casalina attempted to chase down a target of 106 runs, but they were unable to take advantage of their opportunities. Indika Senn, the team’s captain, scored 40 runs to give his team a strong start. The other batters, on the other hand, weren’t very effective. With 13 runs, Nuwan Arachchige was the second-highest run scorer. Casalina lost the game by 32 runs despite scoring only 73 runs in 10 overs.
