Ashutosh Sharma has pulled the Delhi Capitals (DC) out of trouble in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2035 for the second time. To assist DC surpass a target of 210 from an unlikely position, he hammered an undefeated 66 off 31 deliveries against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
On Monday, May 5, against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), DC was beaten to 29/5 in the first forty-three deliveries of the game. They reached 62/6 in 12.1 overs thanks to a brief partnership between Vipraj Nigam (18) and Tristan Stubbs (41*).
Ashutosh faced the possibility of being bowled out inside 100 as he entered the game with DC still in serious difficulty. At that point, he assumed control, and before the storms took over, his 26-ball 41 helped DC reach a solid score of 133/7.
According to the Ashutosh Sharma, he performs best under pressure.
Yes, I usually enjoy playing in this scenario when there is pressure or when my side has faltered and a few wickets have already been lost. I always get ready for these kinds of scenarios where nobody is getting any runs; if I do, it will benefit both my team and me. At the news conference following the game, Ashutosh stated, “Yeah, so I always love to play in this situation.”
DC has 13 points from 11 games, which puts them in fifth place right now. After winning five of their first six games, they have experienced a severe collapse, winning only one of their past four games.
They still have a chance to make the playoffs, though, as the Axar Patel-led team plays the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Thursday, May 8, in Dharamsala.
