In a thrilling match played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on October 28, the Kangaroos defeated New Zealand by five runs to win their fourth match of the competition.
Despite having a poor start to the campaign, Aaron Finch said after the win that Australia has begun to take shape.
He added that it occurred as a result of players having faith in one another’s ability. The former cricket player went on to say that Australia has strong bench players, citing all-rounders Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green as examples.
They’re beginning to take shape rather nicely. “It is the players’ faith in both their own and each other’s abilities,” Finch stated to BBC Sport. “And when you look at the players not in the Australia XI at the minute there’s some serious power in Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green who could potentially come back into that middle order.”

Regarding the game, Australia was asked to bat first after losing the toss. Travis Head, who had returned from an injury, and David Warner’s opening partnership of 175 runs got them off to a great start. But Warner was dismissed by Glenn Phillips for 81 off 65, which featured six maximums and five boundaries.
In the meantime, Head had a brilliant debut in the tournament, hitting 109 off just 67. He hit seven sixes and eleven boundaries throughout his knock. With Warner and Head off to a brilliant start, Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins, and other players chipped in to help Australia to their highest-ever ODI total against the Kiwis of 388 in 49.2 overs.
After losing their opening two games against South Africa and India, the five-time winners then defended the score in the thrilling last-over battle to continue winning.
