Australia is prepared to take on South Africa as their upcoming task. They will benefit greatly from their white-ball assignment against the Proteas as the ODI World Cup 2023 approaches. They play South Africa in three T20Is and five ODIs, with the first T20I beginning on Wednesday, August 30.
Spencer Johnson was also named to the team for the three-match T20I series when the Australians unveiled their lineup for the multi-format series. Johnson has not yet appeared in an international cricket match at the age of 27, and as the chance drew near, seasoned hitter Travis Head stepped out to express his extreme admiration for the pacer.
Despite having a stacked lineup, Head said he was most eager to see what Johnson has in store for the Australian team in the forthcoming series. In addition, he said that the pacemaker might in the future have an effect comparable to Mitchell Starc’s.
“He’s someone who has played really well over the last couple of months, and (his Australian call-up) is something that has probably come a little bit quicker than expected,” Head was cited by cricketmood as saying.
“He’s had some injury issues, but he’s got a fast bowl and can swing the ball,” the narrator said. Over the past several months, he’s performed exceptionally well in tournaments, the southpaw continued.

Travis Head said that given Spencer Johnson’s talent, Australia can look to him to play a significant role in the future. He said that it would be wonderful to see him gain some experience abroad as well.
“His body is good, he bowls quickly, and ideally he can be that man for us at the top of the bowling inning, someone like to Starcy and a wicket-taker who wins matches. It would be wonderful to see him gain foreign experience, give it a shot, and see how he compares,” said Travis Head.
