The Indian team will tour Australia for a five-game Test series as part of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024, which is scheduled to begin in November. Even professional Australian cricket players find it difficult to forget some of these numerous times. Former captain of Australia Tim Paine came up for an interview and shared his highlights from the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
The 39-year-old disclosed that he hasn’t been able to go past the moment of dropping Rishabh Pant’s catch in the Sydney Test of the BGT 2020–21. Paine also discussed Virat Kohli’s 2018 century in Perth as a significant event. It is noteworthy that Australia and India were able to draw the Sydney Test match. In the second innings, Rishabh Pant scored 97 runs off of 118 deliveries, which enabled India to tie the match.

Many Indians like to bring up the fact that I dropped Rishabh a few times in the past. That’s something I haven’t forgotten, for sure. Along with our attack of three or four huge fast bowlers and Virat’s century in Perth on a particularly fast ground, Tim Paine told Crictracker, “I thought it was a masterclass just to be able to stand there close up to that as the wicketkeeper.”

Tim Paine also lavished compliments on the Indian squad for their recent improvement in their speed attack, which has allowed Australia to reclaim their aggressive bowling style.
“The dynamic of that series, especially in Australia, has really changed now that India has access to elite fast bowlers.” In the past, we could be really aggressive, bowl a lot of bouncers, and enjoy ourselves while putting the Indian hitters through their paces. The shoe is now genuinely coming back at us, but it is on the other foot. Watching how your fast bowlers play here in Australia and how both batting lineups manage the speed excites me for the upcoming match,” Paine remarked.
