Tim David, an Australian hitter, has been added to the MI Emirates team for the forthcoming ILT20 (International League T20), which takes place on Friday, January 19. However, if he gets called up for Australia’s T20I series against the West Indies next month, his time in the competition might come to an end. The team announcement is anticipated next week. Australia’s next three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) against the West Indies are slated for February 9–13 at Hobart, Adelaide, and Perth, respectively.

The wildcard method, which permits teams to sign two more players beyond the initial 22-player cap, allowed the MI Emirates to sign him. Notably, the 27-year-old cricket player shares ownership with MI New York in Major League Cricket (MLC) and the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Regarding David’s BBL performance, he had a difficult season, scoring just 112 runs in nine games with an average of 16.00 and a strike rate of 134.93. In spite of this, the selectors are expected to choose him for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which the USA and the West Indies will co-host in June. The middle-order batsman for Australia has amassed 897 runs at an average of 34.50 with a strike rate of 158.20 in 33 Twenty20 Internationals. David Warner has joined his ILT20 squad, the Dubai Capitals, after announcing his retirement from ODI and Test cricket. He will be summoned back for the T20I series, though, since earlier this month, selectors chair George Bailey confirmed his selection. However, all-rounder Marcus Stoinis will also return to the Australian team for the series against the Windies, even though he is presently playing for Durban’s Super Giants in the SA20 in South Africa.
