Alongside Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, star cricketer Tilak Verma recently stated that Pakistan is “no competition” for them. In the just finished Asia Cup, the Men in Blue defeated Pakistan three times.
But Tilak Verma acknowledged that he was under a lot of strain. But by remaining calm during his time at the crease, he acknowledged that he was determined to give it his all for the team’s prospects of winning. The southpaw stated that he forced himself to give the bat his best effort and is happy with how everything turned out.
I concur with Surya (Suryakumar Yadav) bhai when he says that Pakistan is not a competitor. However, we alter our approach from game to game. Yes, there was pressure; I had a lot on my mind. The nation, however, comes first. India is leading the way. I was therefore resolved to sacrifice everything for my nation.
According to The Times of India, Tilak Verma said, “I tried to be calm.”
“I was certain that I would win the match. I was just concentrating on one ball at a time and thinking about my country. I am really pleased of myself for successfully delivering on my promise to the nation,” heTilak Verma continued.
The Men in Blue won their ninth championship in the 41-year history of the continental league with their recent five-wicket victory over the Salman Ali Agha-led team in Dubai. Tilak won Player of the Match for his incredible undefeated 53-ball 69-run performance. Three fours and four sixes were part of his outstanding knock.
He entered the game in a challenging position, brilliantly anchored the innings, and ultimately worked with Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube to successfully manage the falling innings. A number of former cricket players and the cricket community praised Tilak’s maturity, and his heroics on Sunday night have made him a national celebrity.
