India won their seventh Asia Cup thanks in large part to Varma’s outstanding innings in the top match.

India beat archrivals Pakistan by five wickets in the final for the third time. Sahibzada Farhan scored 57 to lead Pakistan to 146, but the remainder battled. India’s star bowler, Kuldeep Yadav, took four wickets to restrict the opposition.
