Yograj Singh, a former pacer for India and the father of the renowned all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, is renowned for his direct criticism of cricketing heavyweights. The 67-year-old has frequently accused MS Dhoni of mistreating his son while he was the Indian team’s captain. But in a recent interview, Yograj Singh attacked Virat Kohli, saying that the Delhi batsman was never Yuvraj’s pal.
Between 2000 and 2017, Yuvraj played 402 international matches for India, scoring 11,178 runs at an average of 35.05, with 71 fifties and 17 hundreds. In all three formats, he also claimed 148 wickets. Yograj Singh called the two former India captains “backstabbers” and claimed that players like Dhoni and Kohli were afraid of losing their jobs to Yuvraj.
“As I previously stated, there are no buddies in the realm of fame, fortune, and achievement. Backstaggers and those who wished to bring you down were always present. Because Yuvraj Singh was such a talented player who was made by God Almighty, many were afraid that he would take their seats. “Everyone, including MS Dhoni, was afraid that he might take my chair because he has been the best player,” Yograj Singh stated in an interview with InsideSport.

Sachin Tendulkar was Yuvraj’s lone Indian team friend, according to Yograj Singh.
The former praised Master Blaster’s kindness. Yuvraj helped India win the 2002 Champions Trophy (with Sri Lanka), 2007 T20 World Cup, and 2011 ODI World Cup. The Dhoni era was his greatest in international cricket. He was recalled to the Indian team for the final time after Kohli became all-format captain in early 2017.
Yuvraj played his last international match against the West Indies at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, on June 30, 2017. At 37, the Chandigarh native retired from local and international cricket on June 10, 2019.
