The famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) was the scene of a noteworthy recent visit by Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who is now spending a brief family vacation in Melbourne. Kuldeep visited the stadium and posed for a picture outside with the statue of his hero, the late Shane Warne. “Shane Warne was my idol, and I had a very strong connection with him,” he said, looking back on the incident. Thinking about Warnie still makes me cry; it’s as though a member of my family has passed away.
Kuldeep visited the Cricket Australia (CA) headquarters during his visit to Melbourne. Through an online conversation, Nick Hockley, CEO of Cricket Australia, extended him a hearty welcome. Kuldeep was given a preview of the Australian summer by Cricket Australia, which emphasised the enthusiasm surrounding the upcoming tours of Australia by Pakistan and India.
Kuldeep expressed his excitement by saying, “It’s great to be here at the iconic MCG and Cricket Australia’s headquarters.” We’re expecting an exciting cricket match between Australia and India this year, and I’m looking forward to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.” Declaring, “I’m confident they will come in big numbers for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, especially during the Boxing Day Test,” he also appreciated the steadfast support of Indian cricket supporters for the team worldwide.

In the meantime, Kuldeep has been playing well over the past several months. With 10 wickets at an economy rate of 6.95 in five matches, he was a key player in India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. He was then sidelined for the Twenty20 International series versus Sri Lanka.
