Following the last-ball thriller in which Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) stole the game from Rajasthan Royals (RR), spinner Yuzvendra Chahal stated that his team must quickly erase the defeat. On Sunday, May 7, the Sunrisers, headed by Aiden Markram, secured two crucial points with a thrilling four-wicket victory at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Chahal, reflecting on his team’s loss, stated that his squad must disregard the match and move on. The Royals are vying for a postseason berth, and he reiterated his confidence in his team’s ability to reemerge more formidable.

“It is a normal aspect of the game. We will return together as a tempest. The sooner we forget about this match, the better for us it will be. It will take time, but if we win our remaining three games, we are still in the hunt for the playoffs,” Yuzvendra Chahal told the media in the press conference following the contest.

As the Royals‘ fortunes deteriorated, it was the final ball of the game that captured the attention of the uninformed. Having to defend five off the final delivery, veteran pacer Sandeep Sharma bowled a full-length ball that nearly struck the yorker length, allowing Jos Buttler to run out Abdul Samad at long-off.

In an unexpected turn of events, the umpire ruled it a no-ball due to overstepping. Samad pulled off a stunning heist in Jaipur by smashing a maximum with the second-to-last ball, stealing the game from the host team.

Yuzvendra Chahal is close to surpassing a remarkable IPL record.

In his four overs against the Sunrisers, Chahal captured four wickets. As a result, the spinner is now tied with CSK legend Dwayne Bravo for the most wickets taken in the annals of the Premier League.

Chahal’s four-wicket haul brought his total to 183 wickets, bringing him level with Bravo in 142 matches as opposed to Bravo’s 161 matches. With three matches remaining in the group stage, Chahal will attempt to break the record and etch his name in the annals of history.
