The Indian team’s five-game Twenty20 International series against Zimbabwe ended recently, and they played some amazing cricket. India produced an incredible turnaround, winning their next four T20I matches, following their defeat in the opening game of the series. Over the five games of the series, a number of players gave outstanding performances.
As a result of their performances, the players have moved up the ICC T20I rankings. The driving forces behind India’s series victory, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, were among the first batters to rise significantly in the rankings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is now ranked sixth in the ICC T20I batting rankings after making four jumps. With 141 runs in the series, Jaiswal was outstanding for India. Additionally, Shubman Gill, the series captain, was the series’ best run scorer.
Gill’s 170 runs in five innings caused him to move a massive 36 ranks to 37th. Notably, Gill now sits fourth in the T20I rankings for Indian players, behind only Suryakumar (second), Jaiswal (sixth), and Ruturaj Gaikwad (eighth).
There are changes in the ICC T20I bowler rankings as well.
Furthermore, a lot of players witnessed changes in their positions in the ICC T20I bowler rankings. After taking six wickets against India, Zimbabwean bowler Blessing Muzarabani climbed 11 spots to take the 44th spot overall on the rankings. Washington Sundar, an all-rounder, climbed 36 places to 46th position, while Mukesh Kumar advanced 21 places to 73rd.

Sikandar Raza, the captain of Zimbabwe, rose to third in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings. However, there were some changes in the Test rankings as well. Harry Brook rose three spots to take seventh place when England defeated the West Indies in their first Test of the series, while Zak Crawley moved up to 13th. In addition, Ollie Pope moved up three ranks, placing him in 29th position among Test batters.
