On Saturday, August 17, the inaugural Delhi Premier League (DPL 2024) will begin play. The event will take place in New Delhi’s famed Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Six teams will face off in the competition, which is notable, but first there will likely be a huge opening ceremony. Renowned rapper-singer Badshah and actress Sonam Bajwa are anticipated to light up the stage and bring glitz to India’s inaugural T20 competition. Popular among young people, Bajwa, told her admirers via a social media video about her forthcoming appearance in the DPL 2024.
Speaking about the tournament opener, South Delhi Superstarz and Team Purani Dilli 6 will face each other. The start time of the match is 8:30 p.m. (IST). With previous international stars like Ishant Sharma and India’s stunning wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant taking the field for Dilli 6, the game is sure to be a star-studded affair.

Several IPL stars will play in DPL 2024
In front of an enthusiastic Delhi audience, a few more IPL (Indian Premier League) players will showcase their skills in cricket. Batsman Ayush Badoni, among other notables, will captain the South Delhi team. He would benefit from having players like Shubham Dubey and Kuldip Yadav at his disposal. Notably, in India’s largest cricket festival, the IPL, both players have played for the Rajasthan Royals.

In addition, women’s matches will be held. Regarding the total number of games that will be played in the DPL in 2024, women will play in seven of the forty games, while men will play in 33 of them. On September 8, 2024, the DPL 2024 championship game will take place.
