The Australian pace bowler Morris acknowledges that bowling on Indian tracks will be a difficult task

Young pace bowler from Australian named Lance Morris is anticipating that bowling on Indian tracks during the Border-Gavaskar series will be a “tough” for him, despite the fact that it will present him with a “great learning opportunity.”

The first match of Australian tour of India, which will consist of both Tests and One-Day Internationals, will take place at Nagpur on February 9.

After only missing out on selection by a hair for Australia’s third and final Test against South Africa in Sydney, 24-year-old Morris is now a part of the 18-man Test squad and has a chance to make his first appearance in any of the remaining four matches in the series.

To be quite honest, the feedback (of bowling pace in India) hasn’t been all that wonderful, as Morris stated on Tuesday during an interview with SEN Radio.

“There is not a whole lot to look forward to; I am not going to witness the ball zipping through to the keeper and him taking it (in the gloves) fingers up. ”

“It seems like it’s going to be a bit of a difficulty, but it’ll be great none the less,” said the recipient of the “Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year Award” for this year. “It sounds like it’s going to be a challenge, but it’ll be fun none the less.”

Morris continued by saying that on a more personal level, he wasn’t expecting too much from the tour other than the opportunity to be among a group of experienced players and to gain experience bowling on subcontinental tracks.

“We’ve got some really good players in the group, and everyone’s got a lot of experience at this point. It has been beneficial to have some training sessions with them and learn from them. ” I don’t want to place an unreasonable amount of pressure on myself.

I’ve never gone on a cricket tour before, so this will be my first experience playing the game outside of the country. All I want to do is learn as much as I can from this.

“It’s going to be a tremendously beneficial experience for me to learn from.”
